Terms of Service
Effective 15 September 2026
Last updated 15 September 2026
Applies to the Talib iOS and Android apps and talibapp.com
01Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Talib ("Talib", "we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the Talib mobile application, including all lessons, courses, subscriptions, and in-app purchases (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, tapping "agree," or otherwise using the Service, you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

02Eligibility & Your Account
You must be at least 13 years old to create a Talib account. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service under the supervision of, and with the consent of, a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.
When you register, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including safeguarding your password. Tell us right away at notkamara@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings within the app. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription — see Section 4.

03The Service
Talib is an educational app offering self-paced lessons in subjects including the Qur'an, Hadith, and the stories of the Prophets, along with progress tracking, a leaderboard, and a "health" mechanic that limits attempts on lesson tests until it regenerates or is refilled.
A note on religious content. Talib's lessons are provided for general educational purposes and reflect the understanding of the contributors who prepared them. They are not a fatwa, a substitute for the guidance of a qualified scholar, or a complete statement of any school of thought. For matters of religious ruling or personal practice, please consult a qualified local scholar.
Your username and lesson score are visible to other users on the in-app Leaderboard. You can choose what display name to show — see the Privacy Policy for details on what else is collected.
We may add, change, or remove features, courses, or content at any time. We'll try to give notice of changes that materially reduce functionality you're actively paying for, but the Service is provided on an evolving basis and specific lessons or features are not guaranteed to remain available indefinitely.

04Talib Premium Subscriptions
Talib Premium is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks full access to all courses. Qiblah direction and prayer times remain free regardless of subscription status.
| Plan | Length | Introductory offer | Renews |
| Monthly | 1 month | 7-day free trial | Monthly, until cancelled |
| Yearly | 12 months | 14-day free trial | Yearly, until cancelled |
The exact price for your plan and region is shown on the subscription screen before you buy, and again in the purchase confirmation from Apple or Google. Where a free trial is offered, your payment method is charged automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it does.
Billing & renewal
Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same length and at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Managing & cancelling
Manage or cancel your subscription any time in your device's account settings — App Store → your profile → Subscriptions on iOS, or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions on Android. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the Talib app does not cancel your subscription.
Refunds
All payments are processed by Apple or Google, not by Talib directly, and are subject to their respective refund policies. We cannot issue refunds for App Store or Google Play purchases ourselves — request one through Apple's reportaproblem.apple.com or the Google Play Store refund process.

05Coins, Health Refills & Virtual Items
Talib separately offers consumable in-app purchases: Coin packs (1,000 / 5,000 / 10,000 Coins) and a Health Refill that restores your in-app health to full. These are one-time purchases, processed and billed by Apple or Google at the price shown at the time of purchase.
- Coins and health are virtual items licensed to you for use within the Service. They have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for money, and cannot be transferred, gifted, sold, or exchanged outside the app.
- Health regenerates to full automatically over time as described in the app, or instantly on purchase of a Health Refill.
- Because these are consumable digital items delivered immediately on purchase, all sales are final once the item is applied to your account, except where a refund is required by applicable law or granted at Apple's or Google's discretion under their own policies.
- We may rebalance, discontinue, or reset virtual items — for example, to fix an exploit or abuse — and will act reasonably and in good faith if we do.

06Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything unlawful, or in a way that infringes anyone else's rights;
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app, or bypass health, payment, or access controls;
- Use bots, scripts, or automated means to interact with the Service, manipulate the Leaderboard, or generate Coins or health outside the app's own purchase flow;
- Impersonate another person, or misuse another user's account;
- Upload or transmit anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, or that violates a third party's intellectual property.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section — see Section 14.

07Your Content & Feedback
If you submit a display name, survey responses, or other content through the Service ("Your Content"), you keep ownership of it, but grant Talib a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and use it as needed to operate and improve the Service (for example, showing your username on the Leaderboard).
If you send us feedback or suggestions, you agree we can use them without restriction or obligation to you.

08Our Intellectual Property
The Talib app, its lessons, design, graphics, and branding are owned by Talib or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on a device you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial, educational use.
You may not copy, redistribute, publicly perform, or create derivative works from app content (including lesson material) without our prior written permission, except for genuine personal study notes.

09Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why, and how you can control it. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described there.

10Third-Party Services
The Service uses third-party providers to operate — for example, payment and subscription management (RevenueCat) and the app stores that distribute Talib (Apple App Store, Google Play). Your use of those platforms is also governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party services we don't control.

11Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Talib disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, or that lesson content is free from error.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you as a consumer, including under UK consumer protection law.

12Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Talib will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, goodwill, or profits, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) £20. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
13Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Talib harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of the Service, or violation of any law or third-party right.

14Term & Termination
These Terms apply for as long as you use the Service. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where reasonably practicable, if you materially breach these Terms — for example, by cheating the Leaderboard, abusing the purchase system, or violating Section 6.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 5, 8, 11, 12, 13, 15, and 19 — will survive.

15Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this choice of law does not deprive you of protections you're entitled to under the mandatory laws of your own country of residence.
We'll try to resolve any dispute informally first — contact us at notkamara@gmail.com. Subject to any non-waivable right you have to bring a claim in your local courts as a consumer, the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms.

16Apple App Store Terms
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply and take precedence over any conflicting term above with respect to Apple:
- This agreement is between you and Talib only, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for the Service.
- In the event of any failure of the Service to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the Service, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are Talib's sole responsibility.
- Talib, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the Service, including product liability claims, claims that the Service fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- In the event of a third-party claim that the Service, or your possession and use of it, infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Talib, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with any applicable third-party agreement (for example, your wireless data service agreement) when using the Service.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple has the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Where you purchase a subscription or in-app item through the App Store, that transaction is with Apple, and is governed by the App Store's own terms in addition to Section 4 and 5 above.

17Google Play Terms
If you downloaded the app from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide support for the Service. Purchases made through Google Play are billed and fulfilled by Google, subject to Google Play's own payment and refund policies.
18Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time — for example, as we add features or as the law requires. If we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where required, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

19General Provisions
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Talib regarding the Service.
Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest of these Terms remain in full effect.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
